  • Helps with stamina or endurance which means the ability of your body to do fitness activities for a long period of time.

  • Regularly skating also benefits the muscles in your lower body: hamstrings,quadriceps,gluteus maximus and calves.

  • Ice skating is easy on the joints because it is low impact.

  • Improves your balance.

  • Helps manage weight,ice skating is a great way to burn calories.  Depending on your intensity level while skating you can burn 325-835 calories in 1 hour.

  • It is an aerobic exercise which means it strengthens your hear and lungs enabling more oxygen to be pumped to your body where it is needed.
